چکیده
The transduction signals from the immobilisation of a class I heavy chain, HLA-A2, on a layer guided acoustic plate mode device, followed by binding of beta(2)-microglobulin and subsequent selective binding of a target peptide are reported.

Surface Generated Acoustic Wave Biosensors for the Detection of Pathogens: A Review
This review presents a deep insight into the Surface Generated Acoustic Wave (SGAW) technology for biosensing applications, based on more than 40 years of technological and scientific developments. In the last 20 years, SGAWs have been attracting the attention of the biochemical scientific community, due to the fact that some of these devices - Shear Horizontal Surface Acoustic Wave (SH-SAW), S...

متن کاملGeneration and Detection of Guided Acoustic Waves for Ndt Using High Temperature Wedges
Ultrasonic wedges which can propagate one longitudinal L and two orthogonally polarized shear S waves are presented. In order to use this wedge to generate and received guided plate acoustic waves along a metal plate at high temperatures brass which has a slow L and S wave velocities was chosen. Mode conversion method was used to convert L to S waves in the wedge. The mode conversion efficiency...
متن کاملConformational Changes of Calmodulin on Calcium and Peptide Binding Monitored by Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators
Film bulk acoustic resonators (FBAR) are mass sensitive, label-free biosensors that allow monitoring of the interaction between biomolecules. In this paper we use the FBAR to measure the binding of calcium and the CaMKII peptide to calmodulin. Because the mass of the calcium is too small to be detected, the conformational change caused by the binding process is measured by monitoring the resona...
متن کاملReceptivity of a supersonic boundary layer over a flat plate . Part 2 . Receptivity to free - stream sound
In this paper, we continue to study the mechanisms of the receptivity of the supersonic boundary layer to free-stream disturbances by using both direct numerical simulation and linear stability theory. Specifically, the receptivity of a Mach 4.5 flow over a flat plate to free-stream fast acoustic waves is studied. The receptivity to free-stream slow acoustic waves, entropy waves and vorticity w...
